Change is different for every person. Some change more dramatically than others and some rarely change. A sense of wandering could be seen. Compared to before in the movie, where he would pass by in a faster pass, now it feels as if the world was on his shoulder. (Kazdin, 2000) The narrator, who is the lead character in the movie, experiences schizophrenia which ultimately causes him to start a recreational fight club which is then inhabited by a massive following that intend on blowing up the metropolis in order to save it. Various psychosocial influences contributed to the narrator’s schizophrenia development. The main reason was due to his trouble sleeping which was evident when he goes to see a doctor and begs him for some medication that would allow him to get some sleep.
The movie I chose to write my psychology review was on Girl Interrupted. The movie was based on the writer Susanna Kaysen’s and her eighteen month stay at a mental hospital, but the movie was directed by James Mangold. My reasoning’s for choosing this movie was due to the fact that it carried many psychological concepts to it. The movies main script revolved around Susana’s and with the crazy women in a mental institution. This movie had two main characters and they were Susanna (Winona Ryder) and Lisa (Angelina Jolie).
