Education being shortened causes the citizens to rely on technology since there is nothing being taught to them in school outside of what the government wants them to know which isn’t much, so the citizens never really have a good education. Due to lack of education citizens who wanted to learn had to seek it out illegally “But Montag was gone and back in a moment with a book in his hand” (Bradbury 94).
