Overall, Night is a story of hope because Eliezer fought for survival, hope that someday the prisoners would be freed, and that the prisoners found hope in one another. Hope is like when Eliezer Weisel said “But deep inside, I know that to sleep meant to die and something in me rebelled against death “ (Weisel 89). The book Night by Eliezer Wiesel is about how Eliezer had survived the holocaust. Also how Eliezer had brought hope when he was in camp. Night is also about how the prisoners brought hope to one another while they were in the camp.

In the story he and his dad were separated from the the rest of the family, which was his mom and his sister. After they were separated from each other, his dad and him were going through some rough moments. The Nazis dehumanized all the Jew, so all the Jew wouldn't have any power by calling the Jews not by their names but their number, calling the them animals, and not giving food to the people who need it.

Despite being warned by an inmate about Auschwitz he stayed optimistic telling himself a human can’t possibly be that cruel to another human.
