In act five Romeo’s servant tells Romeo that Juliet is dead and because he had not heard any news for the Friar he believes this. The then goes and buys a poison that will kill him. He then leaves for Verona while Friar Laurence learns that his letter to Romeo was never delivered. When Romeo arrives at the tomb Paris is decorating the tomb with flowers and then Romeo and Paris fight. Romeo ends up killing Paris and he places him in the tomb as he requested. Then Romeo sees Juliet lying there and believes that she is dead and drinks the poison and dies next to Juliet. Shortly after Juliet wakes up and the Friar tells her that Paris and Romeo are both dead and he tries to get her to leave the tomb but she refuses. She kisses his lips in hope
