Soccer V.S. American Football Around the word many different sports are played and well known by many different cutlers. Two popular sports that are played include soccer in some places called football (soccer) and American football (football). Although there are many aspects of both sports that make them similar; there are many parts of the two that are shown to be immensely different. The two major components between the sports that bring make them similar along with different include the history and the style of play. Although the history between soccer and football is different there are a few things that are similar between them. Until the 19th century the soccer was as well-known as it is today. In many sports, there are rules that go by the same name but have different meanings. One thing that is in both football and soccer Is the coin toss. Before each game there is a time where a few players and the referee will approach another where they then toss a coin to determine the who elective the ball first or which way the team will be going. The coin toss includes the referee who will oversee making calls throughout the game. That is another similarity, on both fields there are referee that make calls and decisions. The most similar referee there are between soccer and football is the line judge. The line judge or side line referee oversees telling the center referee that a player or ball has gone out of bounds.
