From reading the story “The Day Language Came into My Life” or the play “Trifles”? These two stories illustrate both the author’s and the character’s perspectives on what they believe to be true. Also, how their perspectives affect their viewpoints and they came to figure out things. Nowadays people come to know things through their thought and revelation in faith. The experience of Helen Keller, Mrs. Hale, and County Attorney in “Trifles” illustrate their viewpoints. In the story by Helen Keller “The Day Language Came into My Life,” Helen was able to accomplish unbelievable learning skills without being able to hear or see. Helen has overcome lots of obstacles with the help of her tutor Anne Sullivan. When Anne Sullivan begins her work she compared it with her experience of being at sea with a dense fog that surrounded her and she was searching for the light. Helen did not realize the existence of words. It occurs to her that the doll she had is actually conceptualized by a word or that the word “doll” could apply to dolls as well. The experience that shaped this person was when she knows what water means and that it is the cool thing that flows over her hand.
