F. Scott Fitzgerald was born in St paul, minnesota on september 24, 1896 and he died in hollywood, california on December 21,1940. He was an american author who wrote short stories during the jazz age. F. Scott fitzgerald had a wife named Zelda Sayre But they got divorced because she didn't think he can support her. They had one daughter together named frances Scott fitzgerald, She was born in 1920. His greatest book was The Great Gatsby. In the great gatsby, Gatsby is an anti-alcoholic while fitzgerald is the exact opposite. In the book they make gatsby look like he doesn't like alcohol. He wouldn't even drink at his own party. He acts this way because of when he was younger he found a man on a boat who was drunk all the time and then he went to go help the man on the boat. So then gatsby found out the harmful effects alcohol can do to you so he didn't want to drink. But unlike gatsby fitzgerald was a heavy alcoholic. F. scott fitzgerald was known as the America's drunkest author for his drinking problems. He started drinking at a young age and kept that habit so then later on became a alcoholic. It was part of his culture to drink because he was irish. He said that he cut back or hasn't drank in long periods of time but none of that was true. "F.
