What would you do if war broke out in your country? The Kite Runner is written by Khaled Hosseini and Persepolis is written by Marjane Satrapi. Both the books are about how the Islamic revolution affected the characters. The books are about how the Revolution changed them, people around them, and their personalities. Persepolis is about a girl named Marjane and her experience with staying in a country with war, The Kite runner is a boy named Amir and it is about him leaving his country because of war. They had very different experiences with war, but with war there is always losses.
Staying makes people lose their safety of their homes and leaving gives you more safety. When you flee your country during war you have more safety. When you are in a different country there is a small chance of you getting hurt. …show more content…

When you stay you can be with family, and can get to know them better,and be there for them when something bad does happen, but when you leave you leave behind family and you might not be able to help your family when your family needs it. In Persepolis, it says “Luckily, one day they told me about my uncle Anoosh” and “and I had a hero in my family… naturally I loved him immediately. In the kite runner it says “I have to go to Pakistan” and “Rahim Khan is very sick” This means that when Marjane stayed she meet her Uncle and is very close to her after too. She got to know him and she loves him now. She also gains a little bit more about herself. She knows more about her and her family. When Amir left, he couldn't help Rahim khan with his sickness. He couldn't help the people he loved. If Amir had not left Rahim Khan might not be as sick and would be more close with Rahim Khan. So when Amir left he left a part of himself too. Leaving your country because of war can make you lose your family, but when you stay you can get to know your family that had
