Bill C-666 Opposition The prohibition and ban of cigarettes as suggested in Bill C-666 will significantly inhibit the economy and ruin Canadians employed by the tobacco industry. In 2014 the Canadian tobacco industry had a market value of 16.86 billion and in 1998 employed nearly 5,000 people; to abolish such a lucrative trade is nefarious. Moreover, the health risks associated with cigarettes are not pertinent to the discussion surrounding whether cigarettes should be banned. An individual retains the right to consume harmful substances at his discretion, regardless of the detriment against him.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum and The Wizard of Oz directed by Victor Fleming has many differences even though they are based on the same story. In the book, Dorothy actually goes to the Land of Oz; however, in the film it was all just a dream. The second way they are different is Dorothy purposely threw water at the Wicked Witch of the West; however, in the film she was putting out a fire on Scarecrow. In the book Oz gave a brain, a heart, and courage, yet in the film he gave a Th. D, a medal of courage, and a heart clock.

She sees things that she would never think were possible, for example: she talks to animals, and they talk back; she drank a potion that made her shrink, and she was considered the historical hero of Wonderland. He tells Alice to kill the monster, the Jabberwocky and protect Wonderland from the evil Red Queen.
The main characters Lily in, Secret Life of bees, and Dorothy in, The Wizard of Oz, have very similar experiences and are alike in several ways, which can be seen when comparing both texts. These consist of similarities between character roles/dynamics in the two stories, journeying to new places far from home in search of information, and lessons learned by the main characters. There is a quite noticeable parallel between the character roles and the dynamics in the two stories. The two stories center themselves on a young, somewhat naive girl who is forced to travel to an unfamiliar place. Lily travels with Rosaleen, who is like her companion.
How the Production of the Wizard of Oz differs from the Novel Charles Baldwin The film and novel differ the most in their characterization and the honoring of the fairy tale rules. The first way that the film and the novel differ is in the characterization of the various characters in the tale. The novel briefly describes each character while the film gives all the major characters dual roles: one for reality and one for Dorothy's fantasy. For example in the book dorothy has magic slippers but they are silver and in the movie for more a shock to the audience for color the producers make the slippers are ruby colored.
