Life is pretty crazy, and can have some pretty drastic and sudden changes. This idea plays a big role in the realistic fiction book “Simon Sort of Says”, by Erin Bow. The book is about Simon O’Keeffe, a seventh grader and lone survivor of a famous school shooting. Two years after the incident, Simon moved to Grin And Bear It, Nebraska, with his mom, a funeral director, and his dad, a Catholic deacon. One big change in my life was switching elementary schools. When I started kindergarten, I went to Jenkins, since I was in that district. I took the bus and made some friends at school. I quickly got used to school. However, after Kindergarten, I had to make a choice. My brother Noah was starting kindergarten, and had to have special help at school, so he was going to go to Hatherly, where they have the PLC and ILC. I had the option of either staying at Jenkins or switching to Hatherly with my brother. After some time, I chose to switch. Another big change that occurred in my life was moving from Elementary School to Middle School. I learned the hard way that Middle school is a totally different experience from Elementary school. First of all, you have to get to a different class for each subject, and there is a new teacher for each one. Another big difference
