“Singin’ the Blues” is a 1920’s Chicago style jazz composition which greatly contributed Frank Trumbauer’s reputation and influence. This piece is a loosely arranged but the light and lyrical style of Trumbauer and Beiderbecke set the stage for Lester Young and other players that followed. The guitar playing of Eddie Lang is impressive through with his fluent countermelodies.
