Corey, I found your response to make some strong points. You said that Sir Gawain considers himself a failure. I agree with this for several reasons. First, Sir Gawain didn’t receive a blow from the Green Knight that was equal to the one that he delivered. The Green Knight spares his life instead and gives him a small cut on the back of his neck. He also finds out that everything that happened on his quest was set up by the Green Knight too. These actions were very humiliating for Sir Gawain. This is why he feels that he is a failure. On the other hand you said that he is viewed as a success to the other characters. I would also agree with this because he may have been humiliated, but fulfills his deal with the Green Knight, despite it not
