Benita was disappointed about someone carrying the noose inside the convent and then using it to kill Sister Helena. She paced at the far corner of the convent grounds. The sound of the tiny pebbles, being kicked around was therapeutic to her. Hicks preferred to lay on the wooden bench than have pebbles thrown at his face.
