The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how an assertive leader with the abilities to transform leadership styles to that of a situational leader; can direct a multi skilled team. By believing a leader should match the abilities of its followers. While instrumenting content centered listening skills to focus on the facts and details to complete the task at hand (Gamble, T. K., & Gamble, M. W. 2013).
Effective leadership, is the process by which one person or a group of individuals influences others, they initiate while followers support (Gamble, T. K., & Gamble, M. W. 2013). Situational leadership, “consists of four styles S1.(directing; high task/low relationship) refers to the leader providing direction and close supervision; S2 (coaching; high task/high relationship) refers to the leader taking a coaching role, seeking ideas and suggestions; S3 (participating; low task/high relationship) refers to the leader providing more support than direction; and, S4 (empowering; low task/low relationship) refers to the leader being involved in decision making and problem solving only, providing little supervision or support” (Haibin, L., & Shanshi, L. …show more content…

Given these attributes Melanie registered as a high leader, low employee on the perspective model, she entrusts her followers to deliver good recommendation but untimely know the conclusion is hers alone. Coupled with her background in transportation, she is well equipped to lead this team.
As a Regulations Leader Matthew is direct, he takes initiative and his no grey area. He is an action-centered listener that tends to pay little attention to those he is in conversation with, this listener can also jump to conclusion and emphasis on errors. Matthew registered as high leader, low employee from the perspective model. He is an autocratic leader, that base decisions on their ideas and judgments (Gamble, T. K., & Gamble, M. W. 2013). In light of, these behaviors, Mr. Chu demonstrates flexibility, optimisms and
