Although, employed I realized I have a great desire for people with medical needs. A great reason to be apart of this program is determination, success, and fulfillment that I have toward my goal and the care for others. I consider
The Foundation is looking at organizations that collaborate and strengthen systems of care. Preference is given to Baltimore, MD communities for the veterans. Eligible organizations are committed to mental health and the elimination of barriers, have the ability to demonstrate long term outcomes. The eligible organization must have an (501)( c )(3) and has existing services for veterans. I am confident this RFP is worth pursuing because the grant proposal includes the organizations eligibility and demonstrates various preferences aligned with the Foundation and the goals of grant seeker (Ward, 2012).
During the Klondike Gold Rush (1896 to 1899), the Chilkoot Trail operated as the main transportation route into Canada’s interior. The Chilkoot Trail was the most direct, popular, and least expensive compared to other overland routes to reach Dawson City in the Yukon. If prospectors could not afford a carrying outfit for their possessions, they faced the back-breaking task of carrying their own essentials over the summit of the Chilkoot Pass and to lakes Lindeman and Bennett. The Chilkoot Pass faced frequent cloud cover, bad weather, and deep snow. “Blizzard-like conditions often closed in for days at a time, trapping travelers in an areas lacking both tree and sustenance” (Gates 1994).
It will be great to see Keystone Community Services make a change and expand their serving into other geographic areas. All in all, I think that if I was to have an opportunity to work with Keystone Community Services I would love to be a part of this awesome organization. The organization and mission are a high-functioning organization that appreciates its distinct role in the community, a community that I would enjoy exploring my social work
These experiences are just two of many that have influenced my decision to work in a similar environment upon my completion of medical school.
I am an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in Springfield, Massachusetts. In truth, I came here out of boredom and frustration. After struggling intensely with my mental health during my brief time in college, I made the decision to leave school and focus on getting better. In the meantime, I became a barista. The one redeeming quality of the job was interacting with members of my hometown community that I wouldn’t otherwise meet, and yet all the while I was yearning for something greater.
I am extremely dedicated and serious about my career. Working in this facility would be one of the best things that have ever occurred in my life. One day, I aspire to own a facility similar to yours, and I believe that this is a fantastic way to prepare me for my future. If I am given the opportunity to show you, I assure you that you won’t be disappointed. Throughout
The Oregon Trail was traveled by over five hundred thousand people between 1841-1869. Many people wanted to travel on the Oregon Trail in hope of better health. They did not bring many supplies; they only brought the bare necessities. The pioneers traveled in covered wagons, called prairie schooners, pulled by oxen. The journey started in Independence, Missouri, and ended in Oregon City, Oregon.
Growing up in the Bitterroot Valley I have been surrounded by farms and I have been friends with many people who live on farms. I love being outside and growing things and I think NMH would be foster that. Another of my criteria was a strong volleyball program and after watching a few games I can see that the team is very skilled. I was able to be part of a very successful team this year and I want to experience that again and again.
Consistent civic engagement serves to be very prominent in my life. I believe that it is necessary to band together with like-minded individuals, conduct volunteerism, and promote the well-being of a society. Whether it is through the promotion of diversity and culture or by physically ameliorating the society that has nurtured me. Volunteering does not only improve the community visually and physically, but spiritually. Through my own experiences, I enjoy giving back to the community as well as the society as a whole.
P.H. program at Loma Linda University, will enhance my leadership skills and become proficient on health policies. It is evident that the nation’s health is greatly influenced by health policies and this program will improve my decision making skills. Moreover, the institution values such as integrity, justice, and humility convinced me that this program shares the same values that I was raised with. Compared to other institutions, I’ve never attended a campus that was faith based and Loma Linda offers me the opportunity to mold me into a leader that implements its value to professional practice. If I am accepted in your program I hope to conduct research that focus on mental illness among youth.
They treat the First Responder, their significant other and also offers training for peer counselors, which provides them the opportunity to go back to their department and share their newly gained knowledge with others. This program is a necessity to every First Responder who is suffering from PTSD and they should be given the opportunity to attend the retreats if they
Wolves, when in groups, are universally threatening and recurrently feared. This being known, they are often portrayed as an evil or opposing force. Although, on occasion, they have also been known to be referred to as “noble creatures who can teach us many things.” (http://www.wolfcountry.net/) But consequently, despite the popular interpretation of wolves and their characteristics, each story presents its own interpretation of their many characteristics.
Please tell us why you are interested in our program. I am interested in this program because I want to assist in clinical research at a top medical institution working to find new technologies and treatments for currently unmet medical needs, and the Brigham and Women’s hospital is an ideal fit. The clinical research I would be working on through this internship interests me because opioid use is a problem facing the medical field today and I want to help in researching new technologies to eradicate today’s opioid problem. Participating in clinical research to treat pain would not only allow me to get firsthand experience in health care and clinical research in a field I would like to be a part of. The clinical research skills I would be
My community placement is at Brampton Caledon Community Living. The community is mostly for adults and people with intellectual and physical disabilities. It works to support and empower all people in the area and it works alongside the community and families in the community. Most of the people that attend the program are adults that live with either their parent(s) or a family member (low income) in Bolton. To help reach out to and accommodate to families with lower income, the center charges a small fee for the adult to attend.
