“Snap!” and a moment is captured, forever still, saved for generations to see; whether it portrays a strong visual message, or simply an abstract composition. All throughout my life I have explored my passion for creative media through creating websites, editing videos, capturing photographs and technology. My interest in creative media dates back to my first years in high school, where I excelled in technology, editing and capturing photos.
Creative media has always interested me due to the fascinating aspect of technology. My generation is surrounded by technology, which has helped me become more comfortable with my intended major. It gives me an avenue where I am able to create something that is entirely my own; it reflects my creative ability and mindset. The moment I capture a photo it is entirely up to me and it's my perspective in that moment. I solely enjoy being creative, sharing visual and verbal concepts of how I see the world.
When I was 6 years old, I was adopted by my current family. This has been an obstacle in my life because as a young girl I was placed in many foster homes. I did not have a solid foundation or family to call my own; I was unaware of what …show more content…

Even though some subjects such as math, are not my strong suit, I try my best to comprehend the content and apply effort in every way. I personally am not a great test taker. As a result, I believe my SAT scores do not truly represent me as a student. By studying media at a degree level, I will be able to enhance my interest as well as expand my current knowledge and be able to gain new skills. This will enable me to both advance and flourish within this area as well as taking great pleasure in doing so. I look forward to my future aspirations and I am ready to take the next step in my education after high school. To me, that step is going to Colorado
