Sneakers aren’t just shoes they have gone from the court to the streets, to the feet of Hip-Hop's best and now they are a cultural phenomenon. With sneakers comes different groups of people and different types of collectors, so not every sneaker collection is ever the same. One of the terms to get familiar with is Sneakerhead. A Sneakerhead is a sneaker enthusiast, who knows the history and meaning of the shoes. The types of Sneakerheads are the OG Sneakerheads, The Hypebeast, and the Reseller. The first type is the OG Sneakerhead, an OG Sneakerhead is someone who collects the original styles of shoes, usually the Retro’s. Retro shoes are the re-released shoes of a colorway that happened after the shoe model’s initial release date. The main shoes collected by the OG Sneakerheads are Jordan's, this is because it’s one of the main brands to retro an original shoe Michael Jordan wore and played in. The Reseller tends to just grab as many pairs of any high demanding shoe and flip it for a good amount of profit. Usually when a shoe is sold out everywhere the first person a sneakerhead goes too is the Reseller, which is good but bad, this is because in the positive way the sneakerhead finds the shoe he/she wanted the negative part is that the Reseller’s price 9/10 is not cheap. So for example a pair of Yeezys come out the Reseller buys a pair, the Reseller pays retail which is around $240, then the Reseller resells the pair for a good $450-$2,000 and makes a good profit. Now the Reseller grabs more than 1 or 2 pairs usually around 5 pairs one for his/her personal collection and the rest to flip. So usually always going to a Reseller will hurt your pockets big
