Miro was just a cruel person, who has no conscious about his actions. Miro was a cruel person when he decided to chose his country over saving Artkin. He was a cruel person when he made kate believe that they were friends. As I read in the book, it stated that Miro had said he almost trusted a girl, he let his guard down , because he thought she was docile and helpless. He was being cruel when he had shot Kate because she distracting him by telling him Artkin was his father.
“Are E-Learning days a good alternative to snow days?” some people ask. Why, yes of course! E-Learning days are a very good alternative to snow days! So, reader, hopefully you will also think E-Learning days are a good alternative to snow days.
My first argument I would like to discuss is about how it would affect farmers if the TDSB switch to a year around school schedule. According to the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), small family farms average 231 acres; large family farms average 1,421 acres. So, because farms are very large. In the summer when the crops grow in, because the land is big, farmers require help and can’t do it by themselves, so they wake up early and their students help them pull crops and do the work that is too much for their parents. Though if the TDSB switch to a year around school schedule.
Are E-Days over? E-Days could be replacing snow days. E-Days are days that replace snow days with learning. This essay will explain to the reader that E-Days are a good idea because E-Days save money, education is not interrupted, and E-Days protect scheduled vacations. First, a reason that E-Days are a good idea is because E-Days save money.
Year-round schooling can cause students to become more stressed out versus traditional schooling. As we have seen the different pros and cons, I would like to firmly state that public year-round schooling shouldn’t be implemented in our education system. I do not believe in it for our current generation or any future ones. Many students do not need the strict structure of year-round schooling, as they are becoming increasingly smarter. Year-round schooling, like many other ideas, has its pros and cons but can be steadily confirmed as ineffective.
Traditional school schedules have kids in school from late summer until late spring, the year-round schedule has kids in school all year but the difference is there are longer breaks in the year-round schedule. It is time to switch from the traditional schedule to the year-round schedule because students learn better and don’t lose information over a long summer break, is more convenient for everyone and reduces the stress of school and makes it more enjoyable. To begin students under the current school schedule where there is one long break in the summer are more vulnerable to losing the information they have learned the past year. Summer break causes students to forget material that they have learned which causes problems because it wastes
The four-day school week policy might seem controversial to some because they don’t see the benefits that it actually comes with. The four-day school week enables students to gain an extra day off while still receiving the same amount of instruction, allowing them to devote more time to their studies and other activities. Works Cited: Bradley, Katherine. “The Advantages of a Four Day School Week.”
A debate has arisen due to the decision to not have a snow day today. When winter comes this debate always seems to be a common disagreement. Should schools have a snow day, or should they keep the doors open? When snow hits the ground and the roads become icy should you really risk your life just to go to school?
“The very thought of sending kids to school year-round makes some parents cringe” (Scholastic). In year-round school, schools continue to operate a hundred and eighty days per year, but they stretch out the hundred and eighty days over the entire year and take shorter breaks between each term. Year-round schools have become increasingly common, both as an academic improvement strategy and as a solution to student and teacher burnout. Student and teacher burnout is when the student or teacher is highly stressed or completely exhausted. Year-round schooling is not necessarily the same as expanded learning time.
These results show yet another reason why we should have a four days school week. Furthermore, attendance is great, but so is saving money.
Since at least the 1970’s, the topic of year-round schooling has been debated by many people. This new system is spreading across the nation fast, in fact, in 2011-12, there were about 3700 schools that operated on the year-round schedule. (Zubrzycki 1,3). Like any other controversial topic, there are both benefits and drawbacks to the year-round schooling system. For instance, a definite benefit would be that, “...with one group of students always on vacation, a school that was built for 750 students can serve as many as 1000.
Four Day Week Most children all around the world can all agree on one thing, school is awful. Around one-hundred of the country’s, fifteen-thousand school districts currently use the four day school week. Schools should all convert to four day weeks for the following reasons. It is proven that a four day school week helps academic growth.
Jasmyn Rodriguez February 21, 2023 Argument essay Bad whether days Has there ever been a day where it was snowing, and you did not want to go to school? I think schools should switch to remote learning because kids can do work online. I think schools should switch to remote learning because it can be danger for kids who walk to school and cars can slip on the streets. Also, it would be much easier to work. The first reason I think schools should switch to remote learning is because we cannot miss one day of summer.
If school districts implemented four-day school weeks, attendance and attitudes would be better, the school would be conserving energy, and families would be saving money. If one asked a high school student if they
When certain schools changed their system, improvements were seen especially from Georgia State University when they said, “The researchers found a four-day school week had a statistically significant impact on math scores for fifth-grade students” (Walker). The scores proves that not only high schooler can benefit, but so can younger students with lesser days. Since math is one of the core fundamental subjects, schools want those scores to improve, showing why it is important for them to switch to four days if that is the action that it will take for the enhancement to occur. Linking to superior grades, research from
