My feet hop on the cement as the excitement from the crowd drives through my body. The tunnel under the stadium is filled with my teammates excitement as well. We’re all eager to begin the final game of the World Cup. After hearing the announcer call for the U.S. Women 's soccer team we all start to sprint out to the turf. The rays from the sun beam on my skin and I feel as if the light has enlightened me more. The crowd is overwhelming, but I feel the excitement and adrenaline. I continue to jog to the midfield line. As our names and numbers are announced I think of hard work, the practices, and the many games leading to this moment. For months us as a team have been playing against other talented countries. Today, we meet up again with Japan. Japan’s team lineup is being announced as my thoughts give me more of a rush. The crowd here in Canada consists of many team America supporters. My other teammates names are announced then I hear “Number 10 Carli Lloyd!” For about five seconds I hear the crowd roar and I see many signs held by fans.
After a good luck to Japan, shots on goal, and a refreshing drink of water we find ourselves at our positions on the field. My coaches have motivated me to pressure defenders and score goals. The whistle blows and the ball is kicked passed …show more content…

I have no options and the pressure of man on. I quickly pass up to my forward, Crystal Dunn. Her speed on the ball is electric. Us midfielders and other forwards sprint up to pinch in and become an option for her. Crystal seems to effortlessly travel with the ball to the eighteen yard line and scores!!! With our second goal the crowd seems and feels as if we got the game won. I take a glimpse at the clock and we have one minute left in the World Cup. Our last minute in my head was spent revising our best moments from the start of the season until this last game. After one minute of almost playing with the ball we are now free to celebrate as
