This reviews purpose is to examine the literature pertaining to the graphic novel as a form of social and cultural commentary via the work of Alan Moore. As defined the graphic novel is a literary object much like a typical novel, being is of similar length, but is made from comic content; an amalgamation of visual art and text represented on paper in a sequential format often depicting a narrative.
