For example, medical issues, the death of a loved one, etc. They can influence how a person acts and reacts to future events. Family and society have a huge impact on life situations and how people react to them. In that, Societal and familial expectations do influence who a person becomes.
The Kite Runner is harsh, and much profanity is spoken including the f-word, b-tard, a--, d--n, h---, s--- and c--t. God's name is used in vain with forbidden way. It is somewhat forsaken in some parts of the world. Jesus has his name also taken in vain in the book. Assef's brutality showed when he was only a child. Amir is related to the various stories of his violence.
Can the negative actions of a malicious person change the purity of a person’s heart? A pure heart can lead someone to see the best intentions of all those around them. But, a pure heart does not protect any person from other’s impure actions. In the Kite Runner, Hassan is the character that suffers the most due to the pervasive betrayal at the hands of Amir and Baba and discrimination he faces. The betrayal Hassan endures through unrequited loyalty and deception is deeply rooted in his suffering.

In recent years, the rise of various islamic terrorist groups and other Middle Eastern conflicts has sent shock through Western society and perpetuated unwarranted negative stereotypes that have caused the marginalization and discrimination of Muslims.
Novels can augment our perspective on the nature of mankind. One such book is Khaled Hosseini’s novel, The Kite Runner. The book follows a character named Amir as he goes through life as a child as well as his deep friendship with a boy named Hassan. A series of unfortunate events escalate a conflict prompting Amir with the need to resolve them. The book begins in medias res, until a phone call prompts the book to start back in the years of his youth.
The kite runner explores the idea of social hierarchy and how is causes discrimination to those surrounded by it. Social hierarchy is organized through a social structure called the caste system that separates the different social classes. The caste system plays a very important role in the kite runner. The book illustrates how the discrimination of the Hazaras is accepted and practiced by the Pashtuns. Their differences have led to the Pashtuns being the majority group and the Hazaras as the minority group.
In the novel written by Khaled Hosseini, The Kite Runner, the narrator, Amir, witnesses a very grave scene in his childhood and does not do or say anything to fix it, thus betraying his half brother, Hassan, and changing both of their lives forever. Amir is completely guilt ridden up until adulthood, an Hassan is scarred with a terrible childhood. The poem, “I Find No Peace” by Sir Thomas Wyatt explains Amir’s internal conflict and loneliness. In The Kite Runner, there are several times when Amir expresses his loneliness.
In the novel The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, there are many different important conflicts throughout the story. These conflicts are brought upon by the recurring motifs, such as redemption and loyalty. The different dissensions support the ideas of characterization by how they react to the sudden adversity in their lives. Amir attempts to redeem himself through Hassan’s son, Sohrab, by saving him and giving him a better life. Further developing the meaning of the story, connoting the mental struggle and the way priorities change over time, keeping readers mindful of the motifs and how they impact each character.

The Kite Runner is a book based on a boy named Amir who has made a mistake that he has to live with for the rest of his life leaving guilt to build up inside of him for longer than 20 years. This mistake has caused Amir to lose his best friend Hassan, because he feels like an unfaithful friend for never being there for him everytime someone judged Hassan for being a Hazara or embarrassed to be his friend, not helping him the night Assef and his friends took Hassan’s dignity. This book is going to show you racism, a friendship that experiences devastating times, and a family bond that lasts forever even during extremely hard times. Racism is shown throughout the novel by showing how Pashtuns and Hazaras in Afghanistan did not get along.

The story is based around the characters: Amir, Hassan, Amir's father Baba, and Baba's friend Rahim Khan.
