I have worked with orphaned kids back in my country which has helped me to develop my skills of being a dependant and reliable person as well as being able to deal with many children with different emotional and behavioural needs. You also have to have an attitude that is non judgemental to choose to volunteer and work with children who are disadvantaged in many ways. Experience: • 2 years' previous experience working with children with high emotional needs in a main stream residential or high support environment • Preferably completed Children's First training • TCI/Mapa training Qualifications: • Ideal applicants will have level 7 qualification on applied social studies, social care, psychology, social science etc • full drivers licence Knowledge: • Have knowledge about how young adults cognitive and biological and behavioural aspects. Personal qualities: • Communication skills- Includes interacting with people, verbal, writing as well as expressing myself clearly and effectively • Easy going- will adapt to new situations • Attention to details- able to pick out the smallest mistakes and correct it
