Social class has a huge impact on someone’s health. Depending on whether someone has a job or not can effect whether or not they have health insurance or if they’re even able to afford going to a doctor. The lower social classes have a hard time maintaining clean, stable, and sometimes livable homes conditions. The lower class’s sometimes can’t afford to eat healthy. With fast food being cheap and affordable most people live off of it. Obviously, eating fast food daily can have a huge impact on someone’s health. In the text it states “The potential for improving one’s life---or falling down the class ladder---is a major force that drives people to go far in school and to work hard” (Henslin, 2012 Page.197).
