Social class is evident through different housing and neighborhoods. Each of these pictures where taken in three neighborhoods with varying social statuses. The first picture is in a wealthy neighborhood. The neighborhood had a gate to enter the neighborhood. The houses in this area were extravagant. They were expansive and all of their yards were meticulously taken care of. All the houses were spread out with a large lawn, and some of the houses had a pool in the backyard. The picture shows one of the houses in this neighborhood. There is a large driveway with a gate to enter the house, and the house was large and beautiful. The residents that lived here drove expensive cars, and were dressed in professional attire. The next picture shows a house in the suburbs. The houses here where nice, but not as extravagant as the houses in the first picture. The houses here are close together, but the residents here were all outside with each other. Each of these houses have an element of stratification. They all show the arrangements of social groups in this area. The first picture is an example of the lower upper class or the upper middle class. The residents dressed professionally or in professional attire, showing how these residents work for their money. They were not “old money” the residents have professional jobs that indicate their social status. This shows that the people in this neighborhood had some type of formal education, and their income comes from their job. The houses here were gated off. This is a formal barrier between the rich and the poor, furthering the stratification between the rich and poor. The second picture is a house in a middle-class neighborhood. The residents in more casual attire indicate that they have jobs, but they are not in the highest position. The houses here also show that the residents here have a job, and a financially
