According to the social contract theory the government only exist as a result of a contract between those who govern and those who are governed. Without a government people are free, the only reason why people agree to have a government and give up to some of their freedom is because they exchange it for protection. There are many examples of how Thomas Jefferson inspired on Lock’s social contract. On the social contract John Locke say: “All men are born with certain “natural rights’’, among them are life, liberty, and property.” Since the Declaration of Independence, in part, was inspired by Locke’s contract there are many similarities between them.
Social contracts in America have been molded around public policy through the years. Public policy is influenced by the citizens of America and the countries stability. Social contracts like the Affordable Care Act (ACA) conveys a political message that the government is establishing a social contract with the citizens of America. The ACA established a social contract with physicians and hospitals by mandating rules and regulations. However, both social contracts have flaws that can hinder physician and patient relationship, care, and cost.

The truth is that through the nature of humanity, government is necessary to maintain control and peace. Societies are created by groups of people who find that living together and helping each other is better than attempting to live on their own. However, once a society gets very large with many different types of people it becomes necessary to implement some kind of government to suppress the inherent evil in man and to maintain peace and happiness. Humans need each other to succeed because it is more effective to work together than alone. This truth embraces all of human experiences because it is human nature to want to work together and this truth uses that part of humanity to justify the need for a government.

As such, these groups of people may also have needs that are diverse which could as well mean a common culture that put them together.

Black people have been dehumanized and mistreated since they arrived on the soil of the now United States because of the social contract of racism. Victor is forced to create the monster a woman so the monster won 't be lonely. This also gives the monster a chance to love and to be loved. Victor then realizes that creating a woman for the monster would possibly end human existence.

Thomas Hobbes described that life in a state of nature would be “solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.” In addition, no one would be able to survive in an Anarchy society where there is no order and the safeguard of others is at risk. Therefore, governments require for citizens to surrender some freedom to obtain the benefits of the government. Thus, the government has preserved its two major purposes: maintaining order and providing public goods to the public and an uprising purpose of promoting equality. The main and oldest purpose of government is to maintain order by establishing laws to preserve life and protect property.
“Government is necessary to ensure the proper use of force... The purpose of government is to protect the individual rights of its citizens” (importanceofphilosophy.com). And, just exactly what are our individual rights? “The freedom to act, work, think and behave without retribution bestowed upon members of an organization through legal, regulatory and societal standards” (businessdictionary.com). In other words, the government was only created as a means to protect our individual rights and ensure that we aren’t judged and are free to do as we choose as long as we do not interfere with the individual rights of others.
After these contracts are established, however, then society becomes possible, and people can be expected to keep their promises, cooperate with one another, and so on. I believe that thanks to the social contract we created justice and established what is moral and immoral for the whole society and not only on what we think could be moral or immoral. This topic may be controversial for some people because they will probably think that even though the social contract was created to be equal for all people there are some things until today that does not apply for all. But for me that is not a strong reason to do not believe in the Social contract I strongly believe in this theory because this is what makes a civil society with justice and morality. A philosopher Stuart Rachels suggests that, “ morality is the set of rules governing behavior that rational people accept, on the condition that others accept them too”.

The basic law determining the form of government is called the constitution and may be written, as in the United States, or largely unwritten, as in Great Britain.
But, imagine your government falling apart. You then realize that the people and country are affected. Some people do not know that having a good government is mainly for a person living in that country. Good governed countries keep people from doing criminal acts in their towns.
