Both of the artworks represent political and social issues in the context such as about the democracy and human rights. On the other hand, political issue deals with governments issue as well as immigration and environment. Art is not all about the beauty. So, an artwork’s function and aesthetics are crucial.

O Heroi represents polical and social issues. Young artist, Anna Maria Maiolina strongly identified her piece as an anxiety of Brazil’s military government. The artwork, O Heroi, consists of recognizable, flattened figure in general in uniform, incorporating actual pins, buttons, and badges, contextualized by the stylized skull. Plus, tun e background is yellow and thus consequentila. The subject matter is almost symmetrical. Therefore, the usage of red color represents hunger of democracy.
