I am not lukewarm; there is no topic I do not feel strongly about whether I am informed or uninformed. An Achilles heel? Perhaps, but it also serves me as strength did Hercules. It is a personal guarantee that the other applicants fall short of such passion. My vehemence makes itself known daily in terms values, dedication, and endurance. These are great qualities, granted; they are just words if not provided with evidence through a pattern of behavior. I was disappointed to see that the application process did not include a resumé portion because it would eliminate any doubts that these characteristics have been at play via a daily lifestyle. Transitions are hard, and I have empathy for those experiencing loneliness in turbulent times. I actively volunteer for Launch; it is a non profit that works to prepare senior girls for their transition into college. It focuses on safety, self worth, and preparation. This summer I worked on their premier event as the publicity co-chair and assistant social media campaign manager. Launch tasked me with creating logos and planning marketing campaigns for a targeted audience on social media. It was an amazing experience because it was my first time designing for an organization and gave me the opportunity to use social media as a way to promote confidence. The step from middle school to high school is also a time where confidence has been known to waver and where many will experience diminished self worth. I am a recipient of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB program) is an international curriculum created for students striving to gain to maximum potential from their education. In short, it included a course load almost completely composed of IB classes, a mandatory extra class before school, 50 additional volunteer hours, an extended essay, and several more hoops to jump through. The accomplishment provided a reliance in my abilities and a sense of capability to complete any task with excellence. A dedication to excellence is also illustrated in my ACT score. College scholarships demanded a 3o composite, but my results firmly rested on a 28. It took over four attempts and countless hours of practice tests and practice strategies, but I can now always point to my 32 composite as evidence to my commitment and
