Sexting started to be a concern when (cell) Mobile Phone, Social media technology and impact on traditional media. The Social Media become more dominant and start a conversation in government and agencies on the curent laws, safety and the legislation of sexting use by young adults. To describe what Sexting is, using a Mobile Phone which to send a message or photos that are a sexually explicit, video, or sext messages. The relationship between sexting and mental health, sexual behaviors or psychological well-being, assumed it is related to young people at “sexual risk” (p. 301). This research showed that evidence that Young adults sexting were commonplace for Young Adults in the 21st century. Gordon-Messer, D., Et al. says that Sexting among young adults, research does not “appear to be related to sexual risk or psychological well-being” (p.301). …show more content…
The First Goal was to take a sample of Young Adults aged 18 to 24 years, in the United States. The different categories mention “1: non-sexters (neither sent nor received a sext) 2: senders (sent but never received a sext) 3: receivers (received but never sent a sext 4: two-way sexters (both sent and receive a sext)” (p.302). The Second goal examines sociodemographic characteristic, to analyze young adult sexting behaviors. The Third goal is to test Young Adults sexting behavior and whether there is a link which associates with “sexual behaviors and physiological well -being”. (P. 302). The main points 1: that “sexting is prevalent in Young Adults, and in the results of young adult samples 41% had received sext, compared with13 % send and 31% percent receiving sexts in the Lenhart study [7]” (p. 304, Discussion).
