Although people believe that high end designers are modernizing their runways by incorporating millennial influencers in their shows, they are slowly sacrificing history for commercialization. Back then one would normally see high end brands include editorial models in runways or elite fashion magazines such as Harper's Bazaar or Vogue. But, now a days high end brands see that social media is so popular now, they feel as if they need to hire people that are famous just because of their popularity on social media such as Instagram or YouTube. The biggest names in fashion now are trading out posh models for Instagram teens.

Karl Lagerfeld presented his pre-fall 2017 collection for Chanel in the one and only city of lights. Lagerfeld enlisted various sought-after celebrities in the media today. Model/It girls Lily-Rose Depp and Sofia Richie sashayed the chic runways of Chanel. They were joined together to present at the Ritz Hotel of Paris. Lagerfeld made Kendall Jenner and Delevinge more famous by including them into shows like Chanel so he is known for making these young new faces into stars. It seems like Lagerfeld is continuing his foot steps and grabbing Instagram stars and making them even more famous by introducing them to the world of high fashion. These social media stars are most likely in their early adulthood or teen years which means that their every day attire is more laid-back. Designers are not only incorporating these young stars into there runway show but they are snipping pieces of their trends and including it in their designs. Therefore losing the true signature of these high end brands. Dolce and Gabbana is a luxury Italian fashion house. There clothes give you an essence as if Sicilian culture met glamour. From detailed lace to elaborate prints Dolce and Gabba's look is classic. It seems to be that they downgraded by trying to achieve a wider and more youthful audience.
