Persepolis is about Marji and her country in war. Power and money make a big different between people in Iran, Power and money allowed other people with greater power to do anythings or they can get away from almost anything. Social Power is important in Persepolis, it put people where they belong, how much Power they will have depends on their class, and the unlimited educated they can have just becuase they have more Power ,money, and opportunity. This can be apply to country that have more power, and wealth that is controlling other country. In “ The Water Cell” Reza Khan was talking to a British guys on how he can become an emperor. This shows that uneducated people see this as a oppountiniter for them and also for his country. They give up on the resources (oil) to obtain power for their country. “You Just give us the oil and we will take care of the rest” ,( The Water Cell,20) Iran can keep this oil to their own country and build on their own to become stronger and wealtent ,but for the uncle he have a room. This also shows that richer get better treatment than poor people, because they can pay the hospital. Poor people they depend on other people to donate for them. Another example of Social Power is in “The Letter.” In this section Mehri was given to Marji’s family when she was eight years old. Poor family do not really have the opportunity to do the same things as the richer family, they lack with many resources that help them to change. Country like British also used Iran to make money for them and still have control over the country. Social class also affect by this because people that are not in the same social class will not be able to date each other, They are see as not important to
