Branch of professional risks which serve to support the employee in case of work accidents or profession-related diseases. 2. Branch in charge of pension which sere to support retirement, disability and death 3. Portfolios in charge of investments and wealth expansion 4. Other relevant activities as it may be legally directed by the government. 14. The fund also supports military veterans as any other public servant. The law does not recommend the social security fund to specifically support veterans; rather, it offers lawful support to them as it does so to other members. Social Security fund is a critical institution that supports the overall welfare of employees. The law of Burundian government does not recommend the social security fund to specifically support veterans; rather, it offers lawful support to them as it does so to other members. As it is shown in paragraphs that show the benefits challenges of veterans in Burundi, there is a need to the government that should enact laws gives it capability to deal with social welfare challenges and by taking into account veterans concerns. RECOMMENDATIONS 28. Due to the nature of military work that involves greater risks, government must think ways to improve life of veterans, especially those who experienced serious injuries that lead to permanent disability.
