Brave New World Prompt #2 In the Brave New World, Huxley created a world of perfect social stability. But in facts, the social stability cost is not worth the price, because people lose their individuality to the government, citizen’s emotion is controlled by the government and the society will stay have no improvement in the future. The government eliminated people’s individuality in order to build a utopian society. In the book, Mond said that “No social stability without individual stability.”(BNW,) this shows the government understands individuality must be taken out, in order to achieve a social stability. The government restricted the negative emotion and citizens personal belief by conditioning them to only believe Ford other than God and offer citizens soma break when they have a negative emotion.
