The social structure theory as define in sociology is the view that disadvantaged economic class position is a primary cause of crime. Chapter six, Social Structure Theory, goes over serval topics such as Economic Structure and Crime, Social Structure Theories, Social Disorganization Theory, Strain Theories, and Cultural Deviance Theory.
