Through my childhood and adolescences years I have witnessed my sisters going through numerous operations as they both suffer with physical disabilities, which has been rather challenging as I had to juggle my studying along with supporting my sisters both emotionally and physically. I have gained knowledge, training and employment experience in the field of care, I am aware that the role of a carer can be both challenging and rewarding. Due to my personal experience I decided that I would like to pursue a career in social work to help the many disadvantaged and vulnerable people In order to give them better opportunities and improved quality of life. Therefore I see the career of social work to be exciting and satisfying as there are many obstacles to overcome as two days are never the same. I want to be that individual who helps society as a whole through rehabilitation individuals and protecting their rights and civil liberties, so they can have a better and more enhanced quality of life. Being given the opportunity to turn my aptitude for caring for others into a career has already allowed me to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
