Our society today has been impacted by many events throughout history. If some of these events had not happened our world would be different today. These events have made the world/society what it is today. These events include: the roaring twenties, the Great Depression, etc. The roaring twenties was a period in American history of economical, social and political change. This was the first time in America that more people lived in the city rather than on a farm. History. Com states, “ The nation’s total wealth more than doubled between 1920 and 1929, and gross national product (GNP) expanded by 40 percent from 1922 to 1929.” This led to “consumer culture” which was when people bought the same goods, advertisements, and did all of the same things. Flappers had a big impact on society today. Flappers introduced feminism throughout society.
