Katniss has never had any security or safety in her life and danger is nothing new. However, the Hunger Games are a whole different ballpark. In the arena she is expected to fight to the death until there is only one person left, the victor. In this process she is leaving the people she loves the most behind without knowing if she’ll come back. This reason brings me to the connection between this scene and the song chosen. This tune is about the death of youth which is exactly what is happening to Katniss. The minute the Games start, whatever shred of innocence and youth Katniss had is gone. At this point she has to either kill or be killed and almost no one can be trusted. This song is strangely calm, like Katniss is in the situation, but
