Introduction Everything Has Changed is a song written and performed by ten-time Grammy award winner American singer/songwriter Taylor Swift. The song also features two-time Grammy award winner British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran. The genre of the song is often described as being a folk-pop and country song due to the melody of the song being carried out by an acoustic guitar, while still containing pop elements. The song was recorded in 2012 and released as part of Swifts fourth album Red. On June 24th 2013 it was then re-released as the sixth single from the album and went gold in the UK and New Zealand, and platinum in Australia and the United States, as well as topping the charts in over 10 countries and gathering millions of views on YouTube. …show more content…

The song contains lyrics which describes meeting someone new and seeing the world differently because of them; and wanting to get to know them better because of that. The piece was first performed on Swifts Red Tour, in support of the album, in which Ed Sheeran joined her throughout several months however its first major performance was on Britain’s Got Talent on June 8th 2013. Melody The song is in strophic form as the song uses a verse-chorus format and is lyrical. The melody is conjunct as there are not major leaps between the chords used.
