In the poem,"Sonnet 43" Elizabeth Barrett Browning used the theme of love to express her feelings for her husband Robert Browning. She talks about how she loves her beloved and lists different reason on why she loves him . Elizabeth's life experiences influenced her poetry because she started reading novels, studying Greek, and writing her own epic poem in the Greek style before she was even a teenager and was very smart. She started writing poetry from about the age 6. She became very successful at a young age. Elizabeth and Robert ended up falling in love and married secretly on September 12th. Soon after, her tyrannical father disowned her. Elizabeth and Robert's love turned into poetry and became one of the most famous love poems.
