I think several of us in this class has a relative that identified with Sonny’s brother. I was pleased with the way the story end too. My feeling was that identify was a big theme in the story. Both Sonny and his brother search for who they are. The elderly brother who never understood his younger sibling was always watching him pushing moral values on him, which does more harm than good. In the end both find themselves and Sonny’s brother finally understands him. There have been many perspectives to what happen to Connie, with that type of ending many have concluded that Connie was harmed. To Connie’s surprise, he knew what all of her friends names were, and what her family 's names were, and actually where they were at that very moment.
