The external environmental of Southwest Airlines have certain categories that it has within its own specific analysis. It holds up to six categories within the actual analysis such as political, economic, social, technological, legal, and environmental, Within the external environment the PESTL analysis concedes with the external environment whole-heartily on that. The PESTL Analysis stands for Political Factors, Economic Factors, Social Factors, Technological Factors, Legal Factors, and Environmental Factors. The first part of the external environment for Southwest Airlines is the political aspect. Those things are as follows: Strengths, Weakness, Operations, Financial, Marketing, and Human Resources. First the strengths of Southwest Airlines are the ability to make offers to a lesser cost prices, exceptional clientele service. Second are the weaknesses which show that the airline company have considerable dependence on the passenger earnings. Third is the operational factors of the airline which showcases that southwest uses and operates only one type of aircraft carrier called the Boeing 737 airplane. Furthermore, the operation side shows that by keeping the supply cost low, the airplanes can stay in the air up to twelve hours in day, which is four hours higher than the average industries hours. The fourth part of the internal environment is the financial side of the company. Within the financial side of the company there has been a considerable increase in income form 2009-2013. In that four-year span of time the income of the company has risen from at least up to ten billion dollars to seventeen billion dollars. Furthermore, there has been an increase in growth, and productivity during those years and beyond
