With every consequence there is a benefit that overrides the negativity of said consequence. Whether it is justified for the greater good or not is up for debate. Obviously, there is no right or wrong answer. Each person has their own stance on each topic. Therefore, in order to determine the best option, one must weigh the pros and cons. Space exploration is no different. The first time human’s took step on the moon in the year 1969, July 20th, marked a turning point in history. That time forward, the world would never be the same, and technology reached further lengths than ever.

According to source A, “-the manned space exploration program is absolutely worth the cost.” In the writer’s opinion we are far from our space exploration potential. The money put towards exploring the final frontier is mostly spent on earthly purchases, which to them, is an invalidation of the money. Putting more money towards getting mankind in space will not only move our species further than ever …show more content…

The author neither agrees or disagrees on the expansion of space exploration. However, they believe that if we do decide to further pursue the final frontier that we are sensible. Space may be vast and seem distant but it is still very much part of our environment regardless it being, quite literally, ‘out of this world’. The author if this passage says in order to ensure the preservation of the galaxy we must follow four principles. Those being: “1. Space preservation requires that the solar system be valued for its own sake, not on the basis of what it can do for us. 2. Space conservation insists that extraterrestrial resources ought not to be exploited to benefit the few at the expense of the many or of the solar system itself. 3. Space sustainability asks that our explorations “do no harm” and that we leave the moon, Mars, and space itself no worse — and perhaps better — than we found
