There is a famous story about people’s confusion on space exploration. In 1970, a nun from Zambia wrote a letter to Ernst Stuhlinger, the scientist of NASA. In the letter, she stated her confusion that “why government would invest so much money in space exploration rather than used them to help the children in hunger.” Today, there are still a great number of people suffering from the starvation. However, instead of helping the people in hunger, most countries around the world choose to speed up the research and development on outer space exploration regardless of the huge expenditure they would afford. Moreover, the practical effectiveness on space exploration seems frustrating—we can neither move to another planet nor welcome the new guests to visit our beautiful Earth. Only Hollywood would cheer for every progress NASA has made, because even the tiny achievement of NASA would contribute to the volume production of science fiction movies. For example, the artificial satellites are one of the most helpful inventions that could solve the problems of natural calamities. Every time we are informed of the typhoon forecast or flood forecast, we should attribute such helpful information to the artificial satellites (“NOAA” ). By foreknowing the natural calamities, people would have enough preparation to minimize the loss and protect people’s life. As a result, numerous people would save from starvation and save their life due to the disaster preparedness. Artificial satellites are now the primary application of outer space exploration. Since the world’s first artificial satellite Spuntnik 1 was launched by Russia (Soviet Union) in 1957, America now has launched over 400 artificial satellites which have helped people in various kinds of fields, including natural calamities forecast, data transmission and topography survey and so on (Siddiqi
