Harold Fredrick Shipman, a British serial killer, studied at Leeds university of medicine. He was born in England on January 14, 1946. He became a physician in 1970 through his medical studies. He killed over 200 of his patients and was arrested for his crimes in 1998. Harold died in 2003 at the age of 58.

How the mexicans became a colony is Spanish Conquistadores,led by Hernan Cortes,allied themselves with Tlaxcalan tribes to conquer the Aztecs,who were the most important civilization in Mexico at the time. With the aid of these tribes, plus the effects of smallpox disease that killed many of the native inhabitants, that finally conquered the lands now named as Mexico at the Fall of Tenochtitlan (capital city of the Aztecs) on August 13, 1521. Since that day, until September 27,1821 Mexico became a colony of spain. In the early 19th century, Napoleon’s occupation of Spain led to the outbreak of revolts all across Spanish American.
The two articles that I read for this assignment are called “Hispanic Heritage”. I have decided to read about this mainly because I did not understand why Latinos celebrate “Hispanic Heritage” in the USA. This celebration is completely unknown in Latin countries. Most people have never heard until they are in the USA. During the Hispanic Heritage Month people commemorate with this event in order to recognize the contributions that Hispanics make to the USA.
English colonization in the New World before 1660 was less effective than Spanish colonization. Although the English founded successful colonies in Virginia, Maryland, and New England, the Spanish had a greater overall influence on the New World for several reasons. The Spanish were more aggressive in their colonization efforts, had a more significant impact on the native populations, and established a more effective system of government and administration. These factors contributed to the Spanish having a greater impact on the New World than the English during this period.
The New World was built on the backs of slaves who would do different jobs for small rewards or otherwise be punished or sentenced to death. This new territory was inhabited by several different European peoples including the Spanish Empire in Hispaniola and English immigrants at Chesapeake Bay, their roles in slavery differed in terms of who they acquired to work and the type of work they assigned to their help. In the 1500’s, the Spanish people had several sugar mills in the Caribbean land they named Hispaniola. Because of diseases brought over by the Spanish people, the indigenous population of this land was wiping out and therefor they needed to bring over more people to work for them.
The US conquest was not accidental. It was, and I quote, a consequence of imperialist moves. Many other territories of Spain, including the Philippines, were already fighting for independence and freedom. There came a point when Spain was no longer economically capable of retaining their empire in those areas. Even though they did not relish the idea of giving up, they had to.
When I moved to California eight years ago, I always asked myself “why do people think that because we speak Spanish we are from the same country and we are classified as Latinos?” at the beginning it was so offensive that people would ask me “Are you Latina from Mexico or EL Salvador?” I used to get so upset and tell them “No! I am from Ecuador and I am Hispanic”. Despite, the fact that Latinos and Hispanics speak and uses Spanish as their primary language for communication, this does not mean that we are all from the same country, share the same culture and food, and that the meaning of words are the same.
Slavery in Spanish America differed tremendously from the slavery that occurred in other slavery holding countries such as British America. In Spanish America, the colonial governments permitted the use of the practice of manumission. Manumission is the formal emancipation of slaves, in which the slave owner would free their slaves after a period of time. The question though is why would Spanish America allow manumission and what impact did it have on society.
Immigrants are the pioneer of work in the United States Because they will never say no to work, they are a hard worker. Immigrants are located all around the unites states. Most of the Cuba people lives in Miami, the Colombian people are located New York in not event it this is a reason why people work on construction industries also in chemical plan doing hard work, om the hotels the housekeepers are most of the time Spanish people my people. I don’t understand why something people judge Spanish people. United States should give them an opportunity to does good people it the work for this country to make the U.S.A. in look forward for a better future for the country in also for them.

Like most language sharing cultures, analyzing the separate governments in Spanish speaking countries shows a great deal of diversity between them. Each unique in how they are ran, the powers their leaders hold as well as several other more specific characteristics. Practically all modern Spanish speaking countries began their existence as colonies of Spain in the colonial period of the new world (1492-1832) so It’s interesting to see just how different each country wound up after gaining its independence. Much like siblings, each country ended up better or worse than one of its counterparts for any number of historical factors, some showing a similar state of being to the democratic United States, others appearing more like a totalitarian dictatorship.
During my freshman and sophomore years of high school I took Spanish. It was a great experience to immerse myself in a different language and culture. I think every student in high school should take a language course because it makes for a better well rounded education. People who speak spanish as a main language are becoming more prominent in the United States, so it would be good to know at least the basics in case of an emergency. For example, I work at a Dunkin Donuts and sometimes someone who does not speak english with come in.

I think that this jargon is particularly used by native Spanish speakers. Hispanics have the tendency to use some Spanish words that don’t exist in the Spanish language. This non existing Spanish words might confuse those who are learning the language.
Why taking a second language can be helpful Learning a second language has many lifelong beneficial other than just understanding the language itself, mainly if learned at a young age. Learning a second language can be done more efficiently as a young kid, and can open up many doors for later in life while being mentally advanced. When it comes to learning a second language, the younger you start the easier you will begin to learn your second language. Younger brains learn much easier than older brains because the brain is designed for language learning to take place between birth and adolescence (the period following the onset of puberty during which a young person develops from a child into an adult).
