She made a change in a world full of hatred and ignorance towards people with ID. This is why it is important to have quality information on a website because by telling success stories and news to the reader, they become more intrigued with the cause and think about ways they can help the cause. Easy Navigation: Another reason this organization is successful is because the website is easy to navigate. There is a toolbar at the top of the website that is split up into categories to make the website easier to navigate. This makes it easy for the audience to find what they need. Also, there is a search box located at the top of the page if the reader is looking for a specific topic about the organization. Using these tools makes it less frustrating for a reader to navigate through a website with lots of information. By making this less difficult for the reader, it is more likely for them to refer the website to a friend, family member, or a peer. Having a “Donation” button also makes it easier to receive donations to help the organization grow. Websites rely on donations when they want to set up events. There is even a small section on the home page where people can donate straight from the home page as seen in Figure 3. Figure 3: A donation box found on the Home Page. Providing visuals makes it easier for the reader to understand what is being said. By adding photos, videos, and infographics, the audience can see the impact the Special Olympics has on individuals with ID, which builds a deeper appreciation for the cause. This increases engagement and motivates more people to support and become involved in the Special Olympics. Visuals are not only used to inform, but they are also used to inspire people. The pictures and videos show how happy the athletes and coaches are when they participate in these life-changing events. This drives people to become more involved and are more likely to donate to the organization. By doing this, it makes the organization more successful because they need donations to host events. An example of the type of visuals the website provides is a picture of their latest event in Berlin in 2023 as seen in Figure 3.
