Hello fellow Americans. I am extremely proud to announce that I will be running for president of the United States of America. Thirty-six years ago a young girl was born into a poor family. From the start she had big dreams. She worked extremely hard in school, constantly striving for the best. She graduated from Phillips Academy in Andover, MA with a 5.0 gpa. She then attended Princeton University, and graduated first in her class with a 5.0 gpa. She knew she wanted to make an impact on the world, so she began to work even harder. She was then elected as the Governor of minnesota. When she finished that she wanted to be involved in America even more. So she was elected as the Secretary of State. I know that standing before you and saying I will be a good president is not going to convince you. That is why I am here to tell you what I will do as president for everyone. Every year a future president stands in front of you and promises many things they know they will never fulfill. I am here to tell you the changes that I will make for this country. I would first like to talk about our education system. Our children’s education should be one of our biggest concerns. They are our future, and if we don’t educate them, then how can we expect them to be successful. We need our education to meet the global standards, keep classrooms small enough so the children will be able to have hands on time with their teachers, and continue to pay the teachers a high salary for the important work that they do. The United States has one of the lowest literacy rates in the developed world, yet we continue to spend our money on programs that have been proven inefficient. Many other countries in the world have strong proven education system that also continues to pay teachers well, has a strong core education that is backed by science, has special education programs, and smaller …show more content…

We need to be able to stop making America about one person but instead let it be the peoples country. First of all we must create equal rights for everyone. I grew up in a society that put me down for my religion, culture, gender, and so much more. I told myself when I was young that I will never let this be a country that I allow my children to grow up in. This has made me more aware of the pay gap between men and women as I grow up. This has led me to make the decision that if I am voted as your president I will make equal rights for all. I know it will be a very difficult task, but starting from the beginning is the only way we can fix this, and this right here is the beginning. Next in order we also must deal with the gun control issue. Americans can buy guns as young as 18, but can’t drink alcohol until they are 21. This does not make any sense. Americans should have to be 21 to be able to buy a gun, and must also go through an invasive background check. America has one of the easiest systems to be able to purchase a gun. Every country that has passed a firearm law has seen a decrease in the amount of death caused by
