Madame C. J. Walker was the first black women to become a millionaire. She made hair creams, hair growers, and other scalp ointments. She made her fortune in cosmetics for African American women.. Her life was filled with up and downs. The impressive thing is that she was able to turn all of that around and become a very respected women.
If it were not for the contributions made by individuals in our society, we would live in a world without progress or innovation, and there would be no improvement in the quality of life for the human race. Those who possess the courage, determination, and passion needed to achieve their goals go on to do wondrous things that positively impact the society in which they live. Dr. Elizabeth Blackwell was a leader in helping to introduce the medical career to women, and was the first woman in America to receive a medical degree. It is evident that Elizabeth Blackwell was worthy of all the notoriety she has received because she had many accomplishments in her career, and played a huge role in providing medical training for women. Blackwell overcame many obstacles during her journey to become a doctor due to gender discrimination in her time period, and managed to become a famous leading public health activist

It was also a symbol, because it was used in the time of slavery. Without it making cotton took much longer to make. It also cut down of the number of slaves that where used.
Throughout the 1800’s indigo was extremely popular, everyone wanted to have the beautifully dyed clothing it produced. Most of the indigo that had been produced came from India and West Africa. The consumer base was in Europe and the UK. It took many people to produce the indigo. I believe that the most positive impact was on those who moved it.

We live in a society that can sometimes be so reliant on products that we sometimes can’t imagine what life was like before machines. The first machines were created during a time called the Industrial Revolution which was a turning point in history. People were finally able to mass produce different products. Before this time, people had businesses that could be run at your home since you were making products by hand and you didn’t need much space. The Industrial Revolution introduced new machines that were sometimes massive in size and allowed production to move much faster and more efficiently.
