One of my favorite sports is Track. It is one the most interesting sports. In addition a lot people under estimate track. They think that it is an easy sport that can be practiced. However, track is one the sports that require a lot of hard work and dedication. There is a lot of various stuff in track. There is running, jumping, and throwing. Each one of them consists of variety of contests. I have to say that the running part is the part that I truly like.
My first experience with track was at the age of 15. At that time I was practicing soccer. I was a very chubby kid compared to my teammates. I has good soccer skills, but couldn’t ever catch up with them. So my coach suggested for me to join the track and field team. He said it will help me a lot with my soccer skills. I went the next day to the track coach. He said it was fine for me to join them since I was already in the soccer team. I remember after talking to the coach. I went to the track. Track teaches you a lot of things. It teaches you to keep going, and never stop no matter what. People think that in order to be successful in that sport. All you have to do is be faster. Which part it of is true, but it also requires commitment, hard work, dedication, and the will not to stop at any second. Track has taught me many lessons in life. It showed me how to overcome obstacles. I mean if you think about it. Track is just like life. In life we will face many challenges. We will see people who discourage us, and tell us we are no good, but just like in track we have to keep moving forward. We have to ignore these people, and peruse our dreams. Without track I wouldn’t have been able to play soccer, or even any sport. Even that people said I was too fat to run, and made fun of how I ran. That didn’t stop me.
