The hardest part of going away is remembering what made you stay. This statement is definitely true. As I part ways with St. Patrick, I part ways of many people I’ve grown up with and loved. I’ve been in St. Patrick since I was three years old. Now in eighth grade, I look back on all my memories in eighth grade. There are many objects that symbolize my year as an eighth grader. In a time capsule, I will put all of my most cherished items from eighth grade. In my eighth grade time capsule, I would put my basketball jersey. It was a sleek, green and white reversible jersey. It had a big “22” on the back and “Panthers” on the front. It was a size youth-large, and I used it for every game. I chose my basketball jersey because of how important my basketball season was. The device is an Asus Computer. The desktop is red and glows light blue. The monitor is a big Acer screen. Two speakers are placed left and right of the monitor. The keyboard sits parallel to the monitor. I believe that friendship and connecting with others is important. This computer allowed me to do that. I played with all my friends here. We bonded and laughed over the internet. I have some great memories playing in the computer. Also, the computer is a reminder of my academic achievement because my parents bought it for me because of my high grades. I still hope to connect with my friends through this device.
Another piece clothing going into my time capsule would be my Bishop Lynch sweater. It is a black size small sweater. It has a tag inside that says Port Authority and Made in China. The BL logo is placed on the heart side of the sweater. This deserves a spot in the time capsule because it’s the high school I’m going to. I believe that BL will be a great high school for me.
