Thor
Mainly predominant male comic book characters are common, Thor was previously seen as a Norse God but is now seen as a comic book character. He is a very powerful and loved hero that came during Vietnam to get U.S. mind off the U.S. Vietnam loss. Thor came during Vietnam to help U.S. get through it. The character Thor was created in 1962 by Stan Lee for Marvel Comics. Stan Lee was born to Romanian Jewish immigrants on December 28, 1922. He lived through the Great Depression. Stan Lee had to work various part-time jobs to help support his family (Stan Lee, American History)

One was a continuation of localized Indian protest action. There was some violent protest during this event. They met at the American Indian Chicago Conference.They all shared different information with other tribes (Pritzker, Red Power Movement)
Another thing that happened was called the fish-ins. “This movement began when tribal member and their supports fished in waters that were protected by state and local law enforcement. They were being forced into the guarded lakes. They were being forced to go fish places where they were not used to (Pritzker, Red Power Movement).
In the 1960’s the United States was looking for a non-American hero because of the non-ending war in Vietnam. He is made to take the focus off of America. Alot of things started going wrong in the Vietnam war. “In 1964 two U.S. spy ships were attacked.” (war & peace, PBS)
It started dividing the U.S. slowly. “Many peace protest started coming out in the U.S., attracting activist from civil right movement and other political groups.” In the end the U.S. loses all support so they so they are going down. Thor is made to get everyones mind off the war. (War & Peace,
