Firstly, Tookie had wrote a series of Children’s books speaking out about gang violence, whilst being incarcerated. For instance, Bio shares that these anti-gang books wrote about Tookie include, Gang’s and Violence, Gang’s and Self-esteem, gang’s and guns, covering many diverse topics that will aid kids in learning about multiple dangers they could face on the street and how to react to them correctly. Thus, helping others not face the fate he is currently in. Secondly, he was commended by many top officials and public figures. In example, Bio shows us that George bush gave Tookie a letter commending him for the “Tookie Protocol for Peace”. Therefore, this protocol was a truce amongst gang members the “Bloods” and the “Crips”, despite being a bold goal, it was well accepted. Thirdly, put others before himself even when he needed help. Firstly, Tookie’s faith in god inspired others especially on his last day. For example, Democracy Now states in an interview with Tookie on his last days he used his faith in god and faith in people to confidently face the end. Therefore, inspiring many others to coincide their differences. Secondly, he never denied his innocence. For instance, Democracy Now, states that if he would of took a guilty plea he would have been more likely to of been granted his clemency(Democracy Now!). Thus, showing great faith that the truth would prevail. Thirdly, he has made peace in his own head for his past actions.
